Trolls, Fairies & So Many Hours of Light...

Explore the land of trolls and fairies, where over 50% of the population still believes in them. This trip is based on our 20+ visits to the country since 2012, and we are happy to share the best this country has to offer with you.

We will explore the Southern coast of Iceland, including stops at the Golden Circle, Vik, multiple waterfalls, glaciers & a Viking burial spot.

Travelers to Iceland in August can enjoy 18 hours of light, and smaller groups can enjoy going off the beaten track with visits to an abandoned swimming pool & lots of impromptu hikes.

If you love nature, and don't mind walking and getting wet, this trip is for you.

We Are Eating...

While Iceland is not known for it's cuisine, it does have some wonderful local food choices we get to enjoy such as black crust pizzas, reindeer burgers, lunch in a working greenhouse, local rye bread baked with underground thermal heat, lamb stew, the world's greatest hot dog (according to the locals) and Reykjavik's best-known secret - the almighty cinnamon roll.

Yes, we build in time where we can. Reykjavik will offer the most flexibility.

Currently, the volcanic activity around the Blue Lagoon is presenting an issue so we are going to other thermal pools.

Yes, our pricing is based on sharing a room. There are options to stay in a private room for an additional cost.

We pick a variety of hotels based on geography and comfort. We picked some very upscale & design-focused places for this trip.

On this trip, we are going to:

That is no problem. Our pricing is based on groups of 6- 8 people. If your group is smaller, we can adjust our pricing accordingly.

June, July, and August (although not always) are the best weather months to visit Iceland. However, they are also the most crowded and expensive months. But the positives outweigh the negatives, and if this is going to be your first & only trip to Iceland, we recommend going during the summer.

The winter months of November through February are much darker, and weather can present travel issues such as snow storms & high wind travel advisories. Still, you will experience a much different & quieter part of Iceland plus most prices will be 30% cheaper (hotels/rental cars) during these months.

3 Reasons Why

  1. Megan has been to Iceland 20 times and knows the country well, maybe too well. She will be a great guide.
  2. We have picked some of the best hotels to date for this trip. We are staying at the iconic Ion Adventure Hotel in the middle of the Golden Circle, and a couple of our other options have spa and sauna services you can take advantage of.
  3. We keep the group size small, eight or below, so we can take advantage of better restaurants & excursions.
